The Agribusiness Innovation challenge program is a 5 months incubation program designed to support 10 Agriculture based startups by accelerating their business development, along with opportunities for potential investment and exposure
About GAIN
This program seeks to encourage innovations that address social needs and propels the economic development of the agricultural ecosystem by utilizing emerging technologies. The project would provide technical assistance training to women and youth-led start-ups to strengthen their capacity, improve their access to financial services, and develop their business concepts leveraging innovation to improve supply chain efficiency in Benue state. It is targeted at Agropreneurs and Agribusiness start-ups at different stages.

Grant
The 10 selected 5 teams will be eligible for an equity/debt-free sum of about USD by GAIN for covering costs associated with the remuneration of staff of your proposed activities.

Selected startups will undergo intensive training by experts and key stakeholders in their sector and beyond. Startups will also be able to access the workspaces at Aiivon Innovation hubMakurdi and all attached benefits for free.

The selected startups would get the opportunity to attend meetings/conferences organized by GAIN and Aiivon

We would establish an evaluation board with outside evaluators and experts under strict confidentiality to evaluate proposals.

We will have 2 step screening processes, the 1st is document screening and the 2nd is online interview screening.
03
We will select approximately 20 finalists for the innovation challenge of which up to 10 winners will be selected for the program.
